The University of Barcelona is the most formidable public institution of higher education in Catalonia, catering to the needs of greatest number of students and delivering the broadest and most comprehensive offering in higher educational courses. An initiative launched by the University of Barcelona is The Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE) which brings together the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) and the European University Association (EUA) and their respective members. The aim of the Conference is to open a sustainable process of dialogue, mutual understanding, to exchange knowledge and to increase cooperation between Arab and European Universities. MEDRC has an MoU with the University of Barcelona.
