Second Batch of TAHLYA Students Begin Training at MEDRC

MEDRC welcomed the second batch of young Omani students to their Muscat based premises for day one of their water desalination vocational training program, TAHLYA.

Supported by BP Oman and in it’s second year running, this year’s program will see MEDRC train a total of 75 young Omanis in the field of reverse osmosis desalination. The program is split into two batches with the first batch of students having started in February this year and due to complete their 3 month training course later this month.

Ciarán Ó Cuinn, Center Director, MEDRC said of the program, “We are delighted to work once again with our partners BP to welcome this new batch of students to MEDRC. They have been selected to attend TAHLYA from many thousands of applications that we received. We are immensely proud to start them off here today, on their path towards a successful and rewarding career in desalination”.
