MEDRC Second Decade Water Fund
We are pleased to announce the MEDRC Second Decade Water Fund. Our goal is to raise $100 million to support global water desalination research, training and education, with primary emphasis on programs and projects that will meet the 21st century water needs of the Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA). Meeting the needs of the region will provide technology that meets world needs and will facilitate peace and stability. The Fund will allow MEDRC to continue and expand the Center's current programs and to undertake new projects and programs to meet regional and global needs related to climate change and water sustainability. One of the first projects for which the Fund will be used is the establishment and operation of a Center for Training in Desalination Practice. This will be a commissioned training center for the Middle East region located in Aqaba, Jordan, with much of the training to be conducted in Eilat, Israel.
Organizations like MEDRC matter in building trust and cooperation and developing solutions to international problems. Giving people the opportunity to work together on critical issues creates a basis for conflict resolution and builds solid and longstanding relationships which lead to peaceful solutions.
We need the support of all who believe that cooperation creates tangible real world solutions to real world problems. We ask that you help us turn visions into actions by supporting the MEDRC Second Decade Water Fund. MEDRC is registered in the US as a 501c3 charitable foundation.
